IP address gets switched to old IP or default IP after the upgrade.
Cannot ping to the server or server does not boot after the upgrade.
Sometimes devices do not boot up after the upgrade and you cannot ping to the current IP address or default IP address.
The IP address gets switched to the old IP address
-attach a monitor and keyboard to the device
-reboot the server and let it go to login prompt
-at login prompt type in the admin account and password for sonicwall ( the one which you use to login on WebUI with no domain)
-once you login at the prompt type “interface” and press enter
-it will show you the current IP address of the device
-to change the IP address if its not the one you want it to be type the following command <interface (ifname) (IP) (Subnet Mask)> eg: “interface eth0 10.0.40.25 255.255.0.0” this will change the IP address of the appliance and you should be able to get into the WebUI
