How to set data snd time in Email Security Appliance
Procedure:
To Set date and time on an email security appliance using CLI do the following:
The steps are as follows: (as shown below)
- Install "putty"- a telnet client from the internet ( you can download it from internet )
- Open putty and put in the IP address of Email security device and port "22"
- Login as : "snwlcli"
- Login: Admin
- Password : (admin password that you use for logging in the WebUI with "no domain")
- On the Cli prompt type the following commands
- SNWLCLI:> time [YYYY/MM/DD hh:mm] [TZ ] ( as the example shown below)
- SNWLCLI:>time 2011/06/10 14:09 TZ America/New_York
- use the time command again to verify if that time and date changes took place
NOTE: time should be used in a 24 hr clock format, Please provide valid long time zone name.
e.g. America/Los_Angeles, Asia/Kolkata, Greenwich etc.. Short Time Zone name like PST, IST, GMT etc.. will not work
