How to manually upload firmware in NSM SaaS and upgrade firewall?

Description
This article explains the manual process of uploading firmware in the NSM SaaS (Network Security Manager) and upgrading the firewall firmware. A commit will be created for the firmware upgrade task, and the upgrade process can be monitored from the Commit Section in NSM.
Resolution
Prerequisite:
It is recommended to create a System Backup and Export firewall settings before proceeding with the firmware upgrade. This can be done from the Firewall View of the device in NSM.
For Exporting settings, select the Import/Export Configuration option from the same screen, choose Export Configuration, and Save the ".EXP" File to a secure location.
Upload Firmware in NSM & Upgrade Firewall Firmware:
Login to NSM SaaS and select Tenant of the Firewall from the drop-down list. Click Network Security Manager Tile as shown below
It will take us to the Manager view page. Navigate to Firewalls | Inventory page. On the right side click the Action Button beside the firewall you want to upgrade the firmware.
Click on Upgrade Firmware and it will open Upgrade Firmwaree pop-up window. Click the Browse button under the Available Software Version(s) section.
Navigate to the local storage where the firmware is located. Choose the firmware and click Open as shown below
It will display the selected firmware name. Click the Upload button as shown below.
The firmware upload will take 20 minutes as shown below, please wait for it to complete.
Once the upload is successful it will show the uploaded firmware under the Available Software Version(s) Section as shown below
Select the new firmware version from the list. To upgrade the Firewall Instantly, Click Now on the Schedule Upgrade Section then click the Upgrade button as shown below
Click OK for the below Warning! message.
It will successfully create a commit and show the below message. We can Close this Window.
Note: You can also Schedule your firmware upgrade for later, To do that, Click On the Later option and select the desired date and time.
How to Verify the Upgrade Status in NSM:
To verify the status of the upgrade, Navigate to Manager View |Config Management | Commits and expand to see the Operation Result.
