How to fix " usermap data is stale" alerts if the test connectivity from WebUI is working fine.
If you have already checked the steps outlined in KB :
and the problem still persists.
It may be caused due to corruption in the usermap_race.xml file on the system.
This file contains the time stamp on when was the last time usermap data was updated and it will stop doing the updates to usermap file if the data in this file is corrupted.
To fix the issue follow the steps as mentioned below:
- Get root access of the device if its ES 3300, 4300, 8300 or Virtual appliance unit.
- Navigate to opt/emailsecurity/data ( windows based software go to C:program filesSonicwallESdata )
- look for file "usermap_race.xml" file
- Delete this file
- Restart all services
- Wait for next usermap update to happen.
