How To enable ICMP Ping on SMA 1000 series Devices.

1. In the AMC, navigate to System Configuration > Network Settings.

2. In the Basic section, click the Edit.

The Basic Network Settings page displays.

3. In the ICMP section,

Before 12.4.2 firmware select the Enable ICMP pings checkbox( This is applicable for internal Interface only).

 

From 12.4.2 firmware onwards you can Allow on these interface(s), select any of the following:

 Internal only

 External only

 Both Interfaces

 

4. Click Save and apply pending changes.
