How to install Browser protection with SonicWall Enforced Client Antivirus. By Default Browser protection is not installed along with Virus and Spyware protection.
But if we want to install the browser protection also we need to create a new policy on the McAfee security center portal and enable it.
Note: Browser and firewall protection are add-on service available but not supported by SonicWall.
Please login to your SonicWall appliance and browse to Security Services | Client AV Enforcement:
Please click on the place where it says Click here to manage McAfee
A new page would come up which would ask for your mySonicWall.com account credentials (Please note it is not your appliance username/password) In case you don't have the mySonicWall.com username/password ,you can use firewall authentication code also which can be found under System | Status
After the credentials are entered , a new windows will open up with McAfee security center As stated earlier the McAfee default policy does not have browser protection enabled and cannot be edited you need to create a new policy in order to enable browser protection and customize it for other features
Please navigate to browser protection part of the new policy (In case you are already using a custom policy ,you can edit the same policy and enable browser protection)
Once it is enable ,please save the policy and then make the PC/client where you want to enable browser protection member of this policy
You can also make this policy as default so that it will be applicable on all the users who are member of default policy Please save the change and then update the client McAfee from taskbar
Now once the update is finished the browser protection should show up and be working
