In this article, we will look at the steps to download and upgrade the Capture Security Appliance(CSA) in a Closed network where the Internet access is restricted for the devices.Â
1) Login to the mysonicwall account in which the Capture Security Appliance(CSA) is registered.
2)Â Under Product Management | My Products page, identify the device from the list using the CSA serial number and click on the Serial Number Hyperlink to see the device details.

3) Navigate to Licenses tab and Click on the Arrow mark to expand the Manual upgrade details. Click on 'Request to download Closed Network Firmware 7.0' to initiate the request.Â

4) Once the request is complete we will see a Success message and it will take some time for the file generation.Â

5) An email notification will be sent to the registered email address when it is ready for download. When the file generation is complete, we will have this option 'Click here to download Closed Network Firmware 7.0'Â

6) Once the firmware is downloaded, log in to the CSA appliance and Navigate to the page System | Firmware Management.Â
7) Under Firmware Upgrade, select the file that is downloaded and Click on Upgrade

8) The upload process will take some time and the connection to the appliance might be lost.Â

9) Once the firmware upload it complete, the file will be verified and then the device will reboot to upgrade.Â
10) We can verify the firmware version by login to the Capture Security Appliance Dashboard | System page under 'System Information' section.Â

Note:Â The Manual upgrade process is supported only when the existing firmware version is 1.2.1-24 or above
