ESET NOD32 Smart Security version 3.x is not detected by Advanced EPC, through all releases up to and including 9.0.2 and 10.0.0. This article details a way to configure an EPC device profile to detect this software.
Resolution or Workaround
Log in to AMC.
Click End Point Control in the main navigation menu.
Click the Device Profiles tab.
Click New and then select Microsoft Windows.
In the Type drop-down menu, select Windows registry entry.
In the following window, enter these values:
Name: ESET NOD32 Smart Security 3.x
Key name: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREESETSetupEPFW
Value name: StandardXpFirewall
For the Registry entry operator, choose "greater than or equal to" ( >=).
Click the Add to Current Attributes button.
You can now add this profile to an End Point Control zone.
SonicWall is working to update Advanced EPC libraries that will detect this software. This KB item will be updated when that software is available.
