At times Inheritance filter cannot be deleted from GUI due to the corruption caused by a special character in it.
- Connect to the MySQL database of the GMS/Analyzer instance using a 3rd party tool like MySQL query browser. To login one should know the database username and password of the GMS/Analyzer.
- Execute the following query to list the Inheritance filters configured.
select * from MGMT_FW_FILTER;
- Find the filter name that needs to be deleted, use that value in the following query.
EXAMPLE: I have chosen the filtername Test.
DELETE from MGMT_FW_FILTER where FILTERNAME='Test';
- After executing it should show the following, which confirms the entry is deleted.
