How to Decommission and Remove Devices in Capture Client Console

Description

Learn the difference between SentinelOne decommission and uninstall. Follow this guide to correctly remove devices in Capture Client Console. This KB describes the procedure to Decommission and Remove Devices from the Capture Client Console to Release License 

Resolution

 Log into Capture Client Portal with your MysonicWall credentials.

 Navigate to Assets > Devices.
 Click on the Setting Wheel Icon and choose Decommission on the Device you wish to Decommission.

·        Approve the Action and click on Confirm.

Machine will now be moved to the decommissioned list. Filter the machine by checking decommissioned check box.
Click on the Setting Wheel Icon and choose "Remove Device" from the Device list you wish to remove.

·        Approve the Action and click on Confirm.

·       To Decommission Multiple Devices at once choose all the Devices that need to be decommissioned and select the drop-down menu on the right side of the Screen and approve the Action to Decommission.

·       Delete the device post the Decommission. Select the Devices which are Decommissioned and the Select Delete option from the Drop down menu and confirm action.

Note: Decommission option will only Free up the License for that device on the console and will not uninstall the capture client on the Endpoint Machine, If the Endpoint Machines comes back online it will    reappear in the Capture Client console to maintain protection.
