How to configure Flow Server "All in One Demo Mode" in GMS 8.0 and above

Description

- This role can be installed only on a Virtual Appliance (not on Windows), and is only supported on
VMware ESXi.
- The Flow Server role can be used in a distributed deployment of SonicWall GMS. The primary functions of this role include the

Step 1: Configure ‘GMS All in One’ for FlowServer

-        Go to https://GMS_IP/appliance page
-        Deployment > Roles > Select the ‘Radio Button’ with All in One – Flow Server (Demo Mode Only) > Update
-        This will require role configuration again. This may take up to 15/20 minutes.

Step 2: Configure Firewall for Flow Reporting

-        Login to firewall
-        Change the URL from https://Firewall_IP/main.html to https://Firewall_IP/diag.html
-        Click on ‘Internal Settings’

- Navigate to Flow Reporting/Visualization
- Enable ‘Enable Visualization UI for Non-Admin/Config users’ > Accept

Step 3: Configure firewall to send real time Flow data

- Login to Firewall
- Navigate to AppFlow > Flow Reporting > Click on ‘External Collector’ tab
- External Collector settings:

  • Enable ‘Send Flows and Real-Time Data To External Collector’
  • External Flow Reporting Format ‘IPFIX with extension’
  • External Collector's IP address [GMS All In One IP Address]
  • Click on the 'Accept' to apply the changes

Step 4: Configure GMS for Flow Activity

-        Login to GMS application GUI
-        Navigate to the Firewall > Reports > Flow Activity page
-        The Flow Activity Configuration screen displays. This screen only displays for initial configurations of Flow Activity Reporting
-        Make sure correct IP address has been selected
-        Click on Next
