How to collect CSE Desktop App debug logs

Description

To assist our CSE Sonicwall Support Team with a more accurate analysis, we may request debug logs from your CSE Desktop App. Please follow the steps below and ensure you are running the latest version of the app.

Steps to Collect CSE App Logs:

  • Enable Debug Logging:
    Open CSE App - Go to Setting | Preferences | Enable Debug LoggingImage
  • Reproduce the Issue and note down the approximate time and date of occurrence.
  • Run a Health Check Diagnostic. Confirm all items are marked green and UP.  If any item appears red, please take a screenshot.
    Navigate to Settings  | Health Check  | Run Diagnostic Tool.Image

 

  • Download Log Files. Click View Log Files at the bottom of the Health Check panel.

  • Download the zip logs and attach them to your CSE case on mysonicwall.com.

Do not forget to mention when the issue happened and whether it is impacting everyone or just a specific user or device
