How to add units to NSM 2.0 using Zero touch?

    Description

    In this article we explained about the procedure to add Firewall to Network Security Manager (NSM) 2.0 using Zero Touch.

    While discussing about Zero Touch, we have 2 different scenarios as below

    1) Registering and adding new Firewall to NSM using Zero Touch

    2) Adding a registered Firewall to NSM using Zero Touch.

    User can follow any of this based on their deployment.


    Prerequisite

    For enabling Zero Touch in any device, it should have following Licenses

    Resolution

    This article describes the procedure to add SonicWall devices to NSM 2.0 for Management with/without Reporting & Analytics.
    In this article NSM 2.0 is the Tenant name which is using NSM datacenter


    1) Registering and adding new Firewall to NSM using Zero Touch

    Login to MySonicWall using you MySonicWall Credentials. Navigate to My Workspace | Register Products to get the registration page.

    There are 3 steps for Registration

    • CHOOSE A TENANT
      Under CHOOSE A TENANT, select NSM 2.0 (In your MySonicWall, select the Tenant for Which NSM 2.0 is activated)

    • PRODUCT REGISTRATION DETAILS
      Type Serial Number, Authentication Code & Friendly Name of you Firewall
      Click Choose management button.

    • MANAGEMENT OPTIONS
      Enable Cloud radio button and Switch ON Enable Zero Touch
      Click Done button

    NOTE:  MySonicWALL will take few minutes to update NSM cloud. So wait for few minutes


    How to Check:
    Now the Unit is registered with Zero Touch enabled. You can check this unit acquisition my logging into cloud.sonicwall.com

    • Select NSM 2.0 Tenant from drop down list
    • Click Network Security Manger under Products and Click OK button on the tile.

    • Navigate to Firewalls | Inventory, you can see your Firewall added to this tenant on the right side.
    • Click Side Arrow near you Firewall name to see the unit status as below

    2) Adding a registered Firewall to NSM using Zero Touch.

    Login to MySonicWall using you MySonicWall Credentials. Navigate to My Workspace | Tenant Products.

    • Select NSa from dropdown list (Select the Tenant under which your unit is already registered)
    • Click 3 dots at the right corner of you device from list.

    • Select Transfer Products from the list

    • Select the tenant which is using NSM 2.0, in this case select tenant NSM 2.0

    • Click Transfer button to move to NSM tenant

    • Now the transfer is success and you will get Success message as below

    • Navigate to NSM 2.0 tenant as below

    • Transferred device will be in the list. Click the serial number of the unit to get Product Details.
    • Switch Zero Touch ON to get Success message on top of the page.

    NOTE: MySonicWALL will take few minutes to update NSM cloud. So wait for few minutes


    How to Check:
    Now the Unit is registered with Zero Touch enabled. You can check this unit acquisition my logging into cloud.sonicwall.com

    • Select NSM 2.0 Tenant from drop down list
    • Click Network Security Manger under Products and Click OK button on the tile.

    • Navigate to Firewalls | Inventory, you can see your Firewall added to this tenant on the right side.
    • Click Side Arrow near you Firewall name to see the unit status as below
