How the Remote Implementation Service Key works

Description

Why customers purchase RIS?
- Customers will purchase RIS to get assistance with implementing and configuring new devices

Does RIS work the same as other keys?
- RIS does not work like other license keys
- If the license key is applied to the device it will show valid for 1 day
- This does not mean the service only takes 1 day or expires
- The license key does not have to be applied to the device for the customer to receive the services

Resolution

How does the customer get the service after purchasing RIS?
Upon purchase, through MySonicWall by a Partner or Distributor, the customer will receive an Activation Key. This triggers a report to the Professional Services team that RIS has been purchased. Depending on the vendor, an order could be missing customer information.

The Professional Services team will receive the alert within 24 - 48 hours of purchase. Once the Professional Services Team receives the details of the device and customer information from either the Partner or Distributor, they will schedule the services with one of our Advanced Implementation Partners, or in some cases, a member of the SonicWall Professional Services team. This may take up to a week for Professional Services to receive all the necessary information.
