How do I create, change, or delete a public IP address for SonicWall NSv X1 interface IP?

Learn about how to create, change, and delete public ip. A public IP address prefix is a contiguous range of addresses based on the number of public IP addresses you specify. The addresses are assigned to your subscription. When you create a public IP address resource, you can assign a multiple static public IP address from the prefix and associate to virtual machines, load balancers or other resources to enable Internet connectivity.

1. Log into your Azure Account: in your browser navigate to https://portal.azure.com and log into your Microsoft Azure Account.
2. NSv virtual machine: login to Azure Portal and navigate to “Networking in NSV Virtual machine ” at left site of window.
3. Navigate to “Interface in NSv virtual machine ” at left site of window click Add IP configuration.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Add an IP configuration. Click Add IP configuration and map the public IP address with the private static IP of the WAN interface.
   

SonicWall Configuration

1. Add an Access rule configuration.
   • Navigate to the Policies | Access Rules page.
   • Select the LAN to WAN to enter the Access Rules (WAN > LAN) page.
   • Click on the marked arrow to open the Add Rule window.
   • Select Allow as the Action.
   • Select Any as the Service.
   • Select Source as Any.
   • Select StandbyStatic IP as the Destination.
   • Click Add and Close.
     
     
     
2. Add  NAT rule configuration to forward the traffic to hosted server behind NSv.
