Description
To get Alerts and Notifications for your SonicWall, you can configure email alerts and notifications in MySonicWall and SonicOS.

Resolution
Resolution for SonicOS 6.5
This release includes significant user interface changes and many new features that are different from the SonicOS 6.2 and earlier firmware. The below resolution is for customers using SonicOS 6.5 firmware.
Alerts and Notifications from MySonicWall

Instant Notification
- Viewing Notifications in a Browser
- Log into MySonicWall.
- Click MySonicWall | Security Notices in the left navigation pane. The Notification Center page is displayed.
- Scroll down as needed to view the SonicWall Threat Protection section.
- Viewing Notifications on a Mobile Device
- Download and install the MySonicWall app on your device.
- Using the app, log into your MySonicWall account. Notification Center will be displayed on the default login page.
- If the Notification Center page is not already displayed, tap the options icon to display the MySonicWall navigation options and select Notification Center.
- The MySonicWall app must be installed on the device and you must be logged in to an account that has a registered appliance. Then, notifications will automatically show up.
- In a browser, log into your MySonicWall account.
- Navigate to My Account | Preferences.
- Select Off for the notification types you do not want to see.
- Click Save.
- Instant email notifications
Instant email notifications will also be sent to the primary registrant.
EXAMPLE:When a malicious file is detected, you will receive an instant email notifications provide a link to the Capture ATP status portal on MySonicWall.
NOTE: To stop receiving these emails, you can unsubscribe.
Weekly Notification
- For Capture ATP, MySonicWall sends a weekly email to the primary registrant with a summary of all malicious files detected that week as following.
NOTE: You can unsubscribe to stop receiving these emails. The weekly report provides a link to the Capture ATP status portal on MySonicWall.
Configuring Email Alerts in SonicOS
- Click Manage in the top navigation menu.
- Navigate to the Logs and Reporting | Log Settings | Base Setup page, expand the Category (e.g. Security Services) drop-down. In this case, expand the GAV dropdown. Select the check box in the Alert column for the Sandbox File Transfer result.
- Edit category settings by clicking the Configure icon on the appropriate line or click Accept.
- Navigate to Log Settings | Automation page and configure the email account where you would like to receive alert notifications.
- Click Accept
Resolution for SonicOS 6.2 and Below
The below resolution is for customers using SonicOS 6.2 and earlier firmware. For firewalls that are generation 6 and newer we suggest to upgrade to the latest general release of SonicOS 6.5 firmware.
