Please note the following before start upgrading the GMS system/s:
- GMS version 8.1 and older are out of support hence can’t be supported
- GMS only supports serial upgrade and doesn’t allow skipping any version in between. For ex: Upgrading from 8.3 to 8.6, have to go through all Major GMS versions and Service pack in between and the upgrade path will look like 8.3 > 8.3.1 > 8.4 > 8.4.1 > 8.5 > 8.6
- GMS 9.0 can only be upgraded to GMS 9.1 AIOP. Perform a fresh install of 9.1 for distributed deployment.
- Latest build for Analyzer is 8.5. There is NO build for Analyzer 8.6.
- With GMS / Analyzer 8.1 reporting database engine ‘Postgres’ has been introduced (known as Rv2). Please see ‘GMS/Analyzer 8.2 installation FAQ’ doc for details.
- For direct upgrde to GMS 8.7 refer KB https://www.sonicwall.com/support/knowledge-base/?sol_id=190404184134719
