GMS: How to register firewall appliance already added to GMS from GMS interface

This artilce describes a procedure how to register already added fiewall from GMS interface.

Procedure:

Step 1: Make sure that firewall unit is not registered.

Step 2: Log in to Application Interface of GMS.

Right click on the unit and choose "Modify Unit".

Change last character in serial number (for example from "4" to "6") and clock on "OK".
Then the unit will be presented as unsynchronized:

Note: Modification of the unit is causing GMS to force registration and synchronization with the unit. It is being done for the first time when unit is being added to GMS and also after modification. You can also delete the unit and add it again but you will loose all reports and data for the unit.

Step 3:
Right click again on the unit and choose "Modify Unit".

Now put back correct Serial Number.

Go to scheduled task and Execute them immediately.

You will see the message that unit is synchronizing with GMS.

Step 4. Go to the unit status page and you will see that unit has been registered and last modified by GMS.
