GMS Alerts are showing wrong time

Default GMS alerts send out with the wrong timestamp from local time and the GMS instance is a virtual appliance.
Step 1: Confirm that the GMS time is indeed wrong by going to the GMS appliance: http://gms-ip/appliance/
Step 2: Navigate to the time module by going to System | Time.
Step 3: If the time is not correct consider manually changing the time by deselecting the NTP and changing the time. This will require a reboot. Upon reboot confirm if the time has changed.
Step 4: If it has not changed but has another time check the ESXi host time. Oftentimes the ESXi host time is wrong which is where the GMS instance pulls the time from.
NOTE: For Windows based install, check the System time on the Windows machine.
