EX SSL-VPN: Does appliance(s) fail in pushing EPC logs to Aventail Advanced Reporting(AAR) tool?
Appliance unable to push End Point Control (EPC) logs to Aventail Advanced Reporting (AAR) tool. This issue is reported on firmware version 10.6.4 & 10.7.1. Is there a workaround or fix available to push EPC related logs to the reporting tool?
Resolution or Workaround:
SonicWall Engineering have identified a code level bug in aarpushlogs script deployed on firmware version 10.6.4 & 10.7.1. Manual code level modification would address the issue:
Step 1: SSH to the appliance. (How to SSH to the appliance). Step 2: Navigate to the folder from the shell prompt #cd /usr/local/aventail/bin Step 3: vi aarpushlogs Step 4: Navigate to line number 59 to locate "successful-authentications-.xml" which needs to be replaced by successful-authentications.xml
An additional "-" on line 59 needs to be removed from /usr/local/aventail/bin/aarpushlogs
Post modification of /usr/local/aventail/bin/aarpushlogs
Step 5: Save the file using esc wq! (vi command to save and exit). Step 6: execute the script once from command line aventail-hostname:/usr/local/aventail/bin# ./aarpushlogs
Note: This issue is addressed in our upcoming firmware versions 10.6.5 & 10.7.2
