Enable Radius authentication with a Cloud Managed SonicWave

Description

This KB provides information on the creation of network connection and SSID policies to enable Radius authentication.

Resolution

In this example we are going to use Microsoft Server 2019.  The following items will be required

  • Connection Request Policy
  • Network Policy
  • Radius Client Details
  1. Add a Radius Client

  2. Click Next

  3. Add a Radius Client

  4. Click OK once the details have been entered

  5. Click Next

  6. Choose the Authentication Method and click next

  7. Add the Radius User Group

  8. Click next

  9. The configuration of traffic control attributes will not be covered in this KB.  Click Next
  10. The configuration should show the 3 required components

    SSID configuration via the Wireless Network Manager

  11. Log in to the Wireless Network Manager

  12. Go to the SSID Policies section

  13. Choose the SSID policy or create a new one and enter the authentication and Radius Details

    You should then seen the SSID appear under the list of available networks

    You may have to add the network manually if there are problems connecting





    Once connected you should see the following connection information under the Wireless Network properties
