Drop Packet - NAT Remap: Obtained invalid translated source from original offset

Description

Unable to register the Firewall:

After you have logged on the firewall, in the section  System | Status on the right side of the page in Security Services once clicked on "update your registration" and you have entered the correct credentials should be displayed a blank page and / or it ask to register again.

Resolution

Navigate to  System | Diagnostics | Check Network Settings click on "Server and then on Test All Selected":

The License Manager test should fail.

 

On CMD run the command “nslookup licensemanager.SonicWall.com”

 

If you are not able to resolve the IP address please refer:

If you are able to resolve the IP address run a Packet Capture.

If the drop code is NAT Remap: Obtained invalid translated source from original offset follow the instruction below:

NOTEBased on the Firmware Version the Drop code can be different: Drop code 508,503,404,237...

 

Procedure:

- Check the NAT policies on Network | NAT

- Search if there is a an auto added NAT policy for the IPv6 stating source as all interface IP and translated source as all X1:V6 management

- Disable the NAT policy.
- Now you should be able to register the Appliance.
