Domain Users attempting to log into GMS 8.1 receive an account locked error message

Domain users attempting to login to GMS 8.1 receive an error that the domain account has been locked, despite the fact that the account is unlocked and the password works correctly at the domain controller
1.) Login with the "admin" user of GMS to the appliance interface and navigate to Console > Management > Domains.
2.) Click "Edit" on the Domain
3.) Check the username (example: cn="username") that is used to authenticate to check users at the domain controller. If this account is locked, all domain users will receive the error message.
4.) Unlock the username for the domain account (or reset its password) on the domain controller.
5.) Log out of the "admin" user settings and attempt to log back in with the user.
