CSE provisioning never completes when MySonicWall Company name does not start with a letter

Description

Partner organizations attempting to provision Cloud Secure Edge (CSE) the first time may experience a situation where the provisioning process stalls and never completes.

When attempting to provision a tenant or service in CSE, the status remains in a "Provisioning" state indefinitely. No provisioning complete email is received.

This issue is currently observed when the Partner Organization name defined in MySonicWall does not start with a latter (a-z). The system may encounter a conflict or validation error during the backend provisioning handshake if the organization string begins with a number.

Example of affected names:

  • 123 IT Solutions

  • 24/7 Support Co

  • 1st Choice Tech

Resolution

Step 1: Rename the Organization in MySonicWall

  1. Log in to MySonicWall.com.

  2. Navigate to Settings in the left-hand menu.

  3. Select Accounts (or My Account depending on your view).

  4. Locate the Rename option for your organization.

  5. Change the "Company Name" so that it starts with a letter.

    • Workaround Example: Change 123 IT Solutions to The 123 IT Solutions or A123 IT Solutions.

  6. Save the changes.

Step 2: Contact Customer Service

Once the name change is saved in MySonicWall, the provisioning process usually requires manual intervention to restart or clear the stuck state.

  1. Open a ticket with Customer Service.

  2. Reference this issue and confirm that the organization name has been updated to start with a letter.

  3. Support will assist in re-triggering the provisioning process for your tenant.
