This article explains how to configure static routes on the SonicWall to reach subnets behind a Layer-3 device connected to the SonicWall.
Unless static routes are in place, connectivity to the subnets will not be successful
As per the diagram below, a Layer-3 device is connected to the LAN port of the SonicWall.
Create an address object on the SonicWall for the Layer-3 device, under Network-> Address objects .
Create a static route for the destination network, under Network-> Routing. The Layer-3 device acts as the gateway to the connected subnets in this scenario.
To test the connectivity with the subnets behind the Layer-3 device, you can run a ping from the firewall, under System->Diagnostics
