DESCRIPTION: Changing SES Web Session Timeout Setting
Changing SES Web Session Timeout Setting
By default the web interface session will timeout after 30 minutes of inactivity. If the customer wishes to extend the timeout to something longer than 30 minutes for monitoring purposes they can do so. Please keep in mind that the default of timeout of 30 minutes was intended for security purposes and extending the timeout rate is at the responsibility and discretion of the administrator.
1) Navigate to the directory where SES was installed.
Example: C:Program FilesSonicwalles
2) Next, go to the relevant tomcat directory and locate the web.xml file
3) Go ahead and change the session timeout value to something other than 30.
<session-timeout>30</session-timeout> changed to <session-timeout>60</session-timeout>
4) Remember to restart the tomcat service for the setting to take affect.
