CFS 4.0: How to import URIs from a file when to create a URI List Object

Description

You may have thousands of URIs need to be added to a URI List Object.  This article will show you how to import URIs from a file when you are going to create a URI List Object. 

 

Resolution

Navigate to Firewall > Content Filter Objects page, click button Add at URI List Objects area. You will see the Import button as following in the pop-up window.

To import the URIs, please follow the below two steps.

Step 1. Create a plain text file (e.g. rtf, txt, csv..) with all the URIs and put each URI on the separate line.

In this case, a csv file "SonicWall" is created with 100 URIs  as following picture.

Note: Invalid and Duplicated (Case Insentive) URI in the importing file will be skipped over.

Step 2. Click button Import in the pop-up window for URI List Objects to import the URIs.

Input the name for the URI List Object and Click button Add to complete the configuration.
