Cannot Delete IP Address Pool Due to Outstanding References
When attempting to delete an IP address pool associated with a community that has been deleted, an administrator receives the following error:
Some of the selected address pools could not be removed because they have outstanding references to them.
This issue can occur on version 8.9 appliances when the pool being deleted was originally associated with the Default Community. Even after the Default Community has been deleted, the IP address pool remains linked to it.
To work around this issue, create a new realm and associate it with no authentication server. When choosing access methods, Connect Tunnel should be selected. Edit the settings for the tunnel access method. You will see that your IP address pool is associated with this community and you can de-select it. Once you've de-selected it, you can finish setting up your realm. Now, delete your realm and then delete your IP address pool from the tunnel service options.
This issue does not seem to affect version 9.0 appliances.
