When troubleshooting connectivity related to FQDN address objects you may need to determine which IP addresses are associated with a wildcard object. Hovering over a wildcard FQDN may not display all of the resolved IP addresses associated with the object.
In order to truly determine the number of IP addresses associated with an object first download the TSR and open with an application such as Notepad ++. Next perform a find all for the object. Under the address objects section of the TSR the object will display HOST(S) or IP addresses associated with the object.
Most Sonicwall firewalls are not multi-bladed firewalls. The NSsp15k is multi-bladed so a TSR search for the object will be needed for each of the four blades. Be sure to check all four instances of the address object within the TSR for the associated host(s) in case they are attached to an alternate blade. If there is not an IP associated with an alternate blade that means they are found on only the first blade. Only objects found on the first blade can be displayed in the web management GUI on an NSsp 15k firewall.
