DDoS Attacks
Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks can cripple networks and security devices like firewalls. Networked capabilities can diminish during the attacks, and services like those that manage security and access controls can suffer. Results can include unauthorized firewall and resource access in addition to unavailable services.
Enable and configure the following features to minimize the risk of service disruption through DDoS protocol, Control Plane Flood Protection, Data Flood Protection, ICMP Flood Protection. Please remember that flood control is dynamic and should be configured carefully based on the environment and business requirements.
