Settings

Use the Settings page to view the general settings of the NSM High Availability. You can configure or view the Primary and Secondary device details in this page.

To configure High Availability setup

  1. Log in to the device that you want to designate as the primary.

  2. Navigate to System | Settings > High Availability > Settings.

  3. In the Mode field, select Active/Standby. By default, the mode is set to None. Once Active/Standby is selected, the secondary device fields become configurable.

  4. In the Secondary Device section, enter the Serial Number and IP Address of the secondary device.

  5. Click Accept. The current node becomes the primary and is Active by default. The configured node becomes the secondary and operates in Standby mode.

It is recommended to keep the preempt mode disabled.
