Password expiry and complexity

This KB explains how to set up the password expiry and complexity for SonicWall Local Users

Resolution for SonicOS 6.5

This release includes significant user interface changes and many new features that are different from the SonicOS 6.2 and earlier firmware. The below resolution is for customers using SonicOS 6.5 firmware.

Password expiry and complexity can be added under the Manage | Appliance | Base setting page. 

NOTE: This is only for Local Users.

Resolution for SonicOS 7.X

This release includes significant user interface changes and many new features that are different from the SonicOS 6.5 and earlier firmware. The below resolution is for customers using SonicOS 7.X firmware.

Password expiry and complexity can be added under Device | Settings | Administration | Login / Multiple Administrators.

NOTE: This is only for Local Users.
