How to Force a Policy Update from an Endpoint

Description

This article explains options how to Force a Policy Update from an Endpoint

Resolution

Perform any of the below actions on the affected device that will result in Policy Update

  1. Go To "Policy" section of the Capture Client UI and Click on “Update Policy”
  2. Image
  3. Run below command from Command Line Interface (CLI) 
    C:\Program Files (x86)\SonicWall\Capture Client>SonicWallEnforcementService.exe updateImage
  4. Perform Reboot of the device
  5. Logout & Login from the device
  6. Trigger a network change event through any one of the following:
    • Disconnect the Network Cable and then reconnect Back
    • Disconnect a VPN connection then Reconnect Back (if you have one)
    • Disconnect from the WiFi network and then Reconnect Back
