Unable to upload Firmware with Error status code 500

Description

When trying to upload a new firmware image on firewall, the request gets failed with Error - " Failed ! Request failed with status code 500 "

The issue is currently under research, Please use the below-mentioned steps as a workaround: 

Workaround 1 :

  1. Please remove/delete the local backups taken on the firewall

  2. Reboot the firewall
  3. Upload the firmware

Workaround 2 : 

  1. Please login to internal settings page of the firewall https:// /sonicui/7/m/Mgmt/settings/diag OR https:// /sonicui/7/m/diag

  2. Navigate to the CORE DUMP section 
  3. Download the Core Dump file and keep it saved safely on your local PC

  4. Purge Core Dump
  5. Reboot the firewall
  6. Upload the firmware
