How to restore the backup preferences of the firewall using settings files automatically saved by the GMS.

Feature/Application:

This article describes the procedure how to restore the backup preferences of the firewall using settings files automatically saved by the GMS.

Procedure:

Step 1: Login to an application interface of the GMS (ipaddress/sgms).
Step 2: Navigate to the Firewall/Policies Tab.
Step 3: From the unit list on the left panel choose the firewall you would like to restore backup settings for.

Step 4: Under Policies panel go to System/Settings and under Saved Settings section, choose the settings file to be restored and click on the "Restore Settings to the unit".

Step 5: Following message will appear:

Step 6: Click OK in order to continue
Step 7: From the Pop-up window choose the Schedule which should be applied when the task will be executed. If the restore of the settings is to be performed now choose the schedule "Immediate" and click on "Accept" button

Step 8: The firewall will be rebooted and new settings restored as per the schedule selected.
