Enabling offline apps for Windows 10 in the Microsoft Business store

Description

You are unable to download the offline installation files for Mobile Connect from the Microsoft Business Appstore. Only the regular online installation is available.

Cause

On Microsoft side there is a vetting process that is required to be completed in order for business customers to be able to view and acquire offline apps. Vetting is required to try to ensure that Microsoft doesn't give licenses to companies which distribute them illegally since after acquiring the licenses, Microsoft has no way of monitoring license use.

Resolution

To start and complete the vetting process to view/acquire offline apps, please follow the following steps in the business store:

1. Log in to businessstore.microsoft.com
2. Go to account information page (Manage | Account Information)
3. Under the offline licensing section, tick the check box for viewing offline apps
4. Once vetting is completed, you should be able to view the offline version of their app in the store

Please note, the vetting process can take up to several business days. If you encounter any issues with the process, please contact the Microsoft Support.
