Disabling the Strict Rekey

This KB provides information on how to disable the Strict Rekey option on an SSID Policy

When there is a lot of wireless interference, the connection to SonicWave can encounter performance issues. Disabling the strict rekey process can potentially help improve connectivity in those environments.

To disable the strict rekey

1. Navigate to Policies | Policy Hierarchy.
2. Select a device.
3. Select the General tab.

4. In the Authentication section, click Strict Rekey to the off position.

    

   The Strict Rekey option is only available for WPA-PSK and WPA-EAP settings.

NOTE:  While disabling Strict Rekey can improve connectivity when there is significant wireless interference, it provides a less secure connection.
