Unable to see reports on NSM AAR for newly added or migrated firewalls.

Description


In this article, we explained the steps used to resolve the reporting issue for the newly added or migrated firewall (with 6.5.4.7-83n or older firmware) to Network Security Manager (NSM) with Analytics And Reporting (AAR).

Cause


Gen 6 devices running firmware below SonicOS Enhanced 6.5.4.8 firmware.

Resolution

 

Prerequisite

This article is applicable to the NAM tenants which are part of Analytics And Reporting (AAR). To find the tenant is part of AAR or not, refer to the KB article How to find an NSM tenant is part of AAR (Analytics And Reporting)?


What is affected:

Gen 6 devices running firmware below SonicOS Enhanced 6.5.4.8 firmware. Migrated from old reporting to new Reporting or newly added devices.

NOTE: Not all Gen6 exhibit the issue and Gen 7 devices are not affected. 


How to check if the Firewall facing the issue.

Login to NSM tenant and Navigate to Device | Monitor and check | Live Monitor. It will show a black page.

Resolution:  This issue will be fixed with the upcoming SonicOS Enhanced 6.5.4.8 firmware. Please follow the below workaround till the release.


Workaround to Fix the Issue:

Option1: Restart of the Firewall will fix this issue.

or

Option 2: Login locally to your firewall and navigate to Manage tab Logs & Reporting| AppFlowSettings |GMS Flow ServerClick on the Accept button positioned at the bottom section of the GMS Server page. (see screenshot below)
