SonicWall Net Extender Service is grayed out with 9.0.x MSI File

“SonicWall NetExtender Service” start up type is set to “Automatic” and the control options are grayed out. This issue is with NetEx MSI installation.

 “ The SonicWall NetExtender Service” start up type is set to “Automatic” and the control options are grayed out this happens with "NetEX.MSI" form of the Net etxender and this is by design from 9.0.x.

1) The NetExtender version in question is 9.0.277 (we see the same behavior with 9.0.244

2) With the older version of NetEx Ver-8.6.266 we did have control over the service.

The NetExtender EXE version does not exhibit the issue reported.

Please use the NetExtender.exe file so that you can start and stop service in Control Panel.
