This release includes significant user interface changes and many new features that are different from the SonicOS 6.5 and earlier firmware. The below resolution is for customers using SonicOSX 7.X firmware.
- Logging Azure Account: In your browser navigate to https://portal.azure.com and log into your Microsoft Azure Account.
- Navigate to SonicWall NSv on Azure Marketplace: https://azuremarketplace.microsoft.com/en-us/marketplace/apps/sonicwall-inc.sonicwall-nsv-firewall-security-vpn-router. Click GET IT NOW and then click Continue.
- Configure the below options :
- VM Name
- Authentication type
- Subscription
- Resource group
- Location
- Virtual machine size
- To add a new inbound rule for NSv HTTPS management access from another public IP address: click Inbound security rules in the left navigation pane of the Azure NSG page. The Inbound security rules page displays.
- To register your NSv appliance: 1 Point your browser to your NSv Series WAN or LAN IP address and log in as the administrator (default admin / password).
NOTE: Deploy a virtual appliance into a different subnet than the resources that route through the virtual appliance are deployed in. Deploying the virtual appliance to the same subnet, then applying a route table to the subnet that routes traffic through the virtual appliance, can result in routing loops, where traffic never leaves the subnet.
