Enterprise Secure Mobile Access - Firefox based RDP shortcut access with Web proxy access method

Description

Firefox based RDP shortcut access with Web proxy access method

Resolution

Web Proxy with Firefox:

Web proxy access method is supported only for Internet explorer enabled with Activex or Java components. However when we access workplace using a firefox browser, the proxy client dynamically redirects any RDP connections from the workplace.

RDP Advanced Options:

RDP advanced options are supported only with the Native RDP client and not with our Java based RDP Client. To enforce Native RDP Client along with the Advanced session options for Firefox browser, the following configuration is needed:-

1. Workplace Shortcuts - RDP Shortcut - Advanced - Display properties - Enable Multiple monitor support.
2. Upload a custom RDP file with support for Printer, Smartcard, Drives option. You can create a custom rdp file by launching windows RDP (mstsc.exe) client, enabling the local resources option and then save it as an .rdp file.

With the above settings, Firefox based workplace access for RDP will use the native RDP client and also support the advanced session options. For more details on the configuration, please contact our Enterprise Support Team.
