How to create a backup of device configuration using NSM to track history of configuration changes?

Description

This article will help create a manual Backup of Device Configuration to track history of configuration changes. This action will create a new config snapshot for the firewall. This can help us find out changes carried out on the firewall before we can make any new changes and can do a config difference between two backups.

Resolution

To create a configuration backup of a device:

  1. Navigate to Manager View | Firewalls |Inventory.
