How to assign Tenants to UserGroups on the MySonicWall.com portal?

This article will explain about assigning tenants to User groups on MySonicWall.com portal

Resolution

Definition of the terms related to group management below:-

Users list- It is the list of the users who are added to the main account as sub-users to manage the products registered under the main/master account, from their (sub-users) respective Mysonicwall accounts.


User Group- This is the group in which the users are assigned to manage the products, which are added to a particular tenant. The users under a user group can only manage the products of the tenant to which the user group is assigned to.
A user can be a part of several User Groups.

Tenant/Product group- It is the group under which the products of the main account are assigned to. The tenants are managed by the user groups.

A product can be a part of one tenant only. But a tenant can be managed by several user groups, as per the need of the Master account owner.


Follow the steps below to assign a Tenant to a user group:-

1. Login to the MySonicWall account.

2. Under the My Workspace , Select Usergroup.

3. From the list of User groups, select the user group to which the tenant need to be assigned.

4. Navigate to the tenant list for that user group, and click on `+ Tenant` option.

5. From the list of tenants select the tenant you want to assign to the User group. 

6. After selecting the tenant, click on the checkbox and then add it to the respective user group.

8.  After adding the tenant to the user groups, the tenant will start reflecting under the tenant list which the User group is managing.
