How to activate Capture Client free Trial License in MySonicWall

Resolution

  1. Navigate to https://www.mysonicwall.com/
  2. Login using MySonicWall.com credentials (Sign-up if not already a MSW user).
  3. Click Product Management and then click Free Trials

  4. Scroll down the page and hover over Capture Client Advanced and click on Try Now

  5. A new dialogue box will appear, please Select the Tenant

  6. Select Capture Client management Data Center

  7. You will get a trial service activation message.

  8. The trial activated product with serial number can be found under My Workspace | Products.

  9. Select your selected Tenant from the top, you can see trial version Capture Client product. Click on the serial number to view details.

  10. To open Capture Client console directly from MySonicWall, scroll down the page to the Bottom section- Services-Available Services page. Hover the mouse to Capture Security Center and click on the Launch button.

  11. It redirects to Capture Security Center (CSC) page. Select your Tenant from the dropdown and click on Capture Client icon.        Image
    If you notice that Capture Client button is greyed out, click on Refresh button on top.
  12. You would be redirected to Capture Client management console. You can verify the license details.        Image
  13. From next time onwards, you can directly login to CSC console (https://cloud.sonicwall.com) to open Capture Client. 

Recommendations :

During the trial, we recommend completing the following steps on Windows or macOS desktops/laptops before agent deployment:

  • Whitelist good applications using exclusions.
  • Explore threat alerts and investigate threat events.
  • If you have a SonicWall firewall, install the DPI-SSL certificate to enable the inspection of encrypted traffic.

NOTE: 

  • The trial does not require a SonicWall firewall or other equipment.
  • The link to Capture Client ceases to function once the 30-day trial ends.
  • The Trial Software option is available only under the company domain email address used to create an account, for example, test@sonicwall.com

TIP: The trial option is not available for personal/public domain email addresses such as Gmail, Hotmail, Etc. The customer can contact sales for any particular trial software. Sales Email Address:- Sales@sonicwall.com
