Secure Access Service Edge (SASE)

SASE is an architectural model first articulated by Gartner Research that combines comprehensive WAN capabilities (such as routing and path selection WAN optimization) with comprehensive network security functions (such as secure web gateways (SWG), cloud access security brokers (CASB), firewall as a service, and zero trust network access (ZTNA)) to deliver secure zero trust access to applications for users and between applications and the services they consume.
