SMA1000: How to Activate a Trial License on SMA8200v
Description
After deploying the SMA 8200v virtual appliance and completing the initial configuration using the Setup Wizard in AMC, you must register / license the product.Â
Unless licensing was purchased previously, a 30-day trial can be activated directly on MySonicWall.com.
Resolution
Activate a SMA8200v Trial
1. Log in to MySonicWall (https://www.mysonicwall.com) with your MySonicWall account.
2. Navigate to Product Management > Free Trials.
3. Under Try SonicWall SMA 8200v, select Try Now. Enter a Friendly Name, select the appropriate Tenant and click Try Now.
4. Once trial is activated, go to MyWorkspace > Products. Find the SMA8200v trial and select the blue highlighted serial number hyperlink and make note of the serial number & Authentication Code.
Register SMA8200v on the AMC
1. Go to System Configuration > General Settings and select the Edit button under Licensing.
2. Click the Register button
3. Enter your MySonicWall Username & Password, as well as the Serial Number, Authentication Code and Friendly Name.Â
4. Select the OK button once completed. Â
