How To Check Equipment ID with Mobile Connect on Windows 8.1
Description
The EPC module on the SRA is used to permit or deny access from the native Windows 8.1 Mobile Connect clients.The following KB shows how to check the Equipment ID a.k.a the Device IDs on Windows 8.1.
Resolution
1. To check the Equipment ID on Windows 8.1, right-click on the Windows logo and select Device Manager:
Note: If you are using the new tiles UI (formerly known as Metro UI) go to the Search Bar and enter "Device Manager":
2. The Device Manager window will appear.
Select the main network adapter used to connect to the Internet to check its Equipment ID:
3. Right-click on the main Network adapter and select Properties.
Choose the Details tab and select Hardware IDs from the drop down list:
