How to allow users to log in using email addresses instead of using a domain drop

Description

How to allow users to log in using email addresses instead of using a domain drop down.

Resolution

The following assumes that LDAP is already configured on the unit. Configure the LDAP server in question and add the NETBIOS domain name under LDAP mappings and save changes.

Select global configurations, and next to the NETBIOS domain that was just added, put in the domain alias you would like to use separated by comma.

For example, if your domain is example.com and your NETBIOS domain is example, then under the alias you should put example.com.

Ensure "Show a list of domains to end users for authentication" is not checked and save changes and then log out.

Test by logging in with a user with the alias after it. An example is testuser@example.com
