How do I enable TLS 1.2 on SonicWall?

This article shows how to enable TLS 1.2 and above

Resolution for SonicOS 7.X

This release includes significant user interface changes and many new features that are different from the SonicOS 6.5 and earlier firmware. The below resolution is for customers using SonicOS 7.X firmware.


  1. Navigate to DEVICE | Settings | Administration.
  2. Click Management.
  3. In the WEB MANAGEMENT SETTINGS section, enable Enforce TLS 1.1 and Above.
  4. Click Accept.

NOTE: Reboot is required.

Resolution for SonicOS 6.5

This release includes significant user interface changes and many new features that are different from the SonicOS 6.2 and earlier firmware. The below resolution is for customers using SonicOS 6.5 firmware.

  1. Navigate to MANAGE | Appliance | Base Settings
  2. Click Management.
  3. In the Web Management Settings section, enable Enforce TLS 1.1 and Above.
  4. Click Accept.
