EX SSL-VPN: RDP Sessions not working properly with LION OSx based Safari 5.1 browser

Problem Definition:

RDP stopped working after upgrading the safari browser from 5.0 to 5.1 with Java update 1.6.0 Update 26. If the user rollsback the Safari browser to 5.0 version, RDP works without any issues.

Symptoms based on 5.1 RDP Failure:-

a. Clicking on the RDP shortcut results in a blank screen window
b. First attempt to launch RDP fails. However if we wait for some time and then relaunch the RDP shortcut, it works without any issues.
c. Clicking on the RDP Shortcut gives the normal connect screen however it never connects successfully.

Resolution or Workaround:

SonicWall support has confirmed this issue on Safari 5.1 browser. The fix is expected to be released on 10.5.4 and 10.6.0 firmware based hotfixes. Fore more details, please contact SonicWall Support team.
